Prepare your full application, including all of the following items. Please note that it may take a number of weeks to compile all of the necessary information and that the scholarship award will be based on the quality of your application.
A covering letter explaining your reasons for applying for a scholarship, which level you are applying for, what you aim to get out of your time in Byron Bay, and why you should be considered for the scholarship. Recommended: 2 - 3 pages.
A complete Resume, with all of your current contact details. Recommended: 1 - 2 pages.
Your full Diploma transcript (summary of grades). If you have not yet completed the Diploma, provide all of your grades to date.
One or more DVDs containing samples of your practical work. Submit your best work only - quality is better than quantity in this circumstance.
Substantial written documentation explaining the practical work on the DVD(s) you have submitted, how you achieved the results, the equipment used, and your qualitative assessment of the final product. You must also provide satisfactory evidence that the work is your own. Recommended: 6 - 10 pages, excluding diagrams, charts or planning documentation.
Two original signed reference letters from academic or professional referees. Recommended: one letter should be from your SAE program coordinator or manager, and the other from a professional associate.

If your application is successful, you will be provided with a formal ESS offer letter and a confirmation of acceptance form. Normal processing time is 4 weeks.
Include the signed acceptance form with the normal SAE Byron Bay Registration Form (available under Brochures and Registration Fee to secure your place. Normal College Policies and Procedures apply to all ESS students.
